Medway Drum Studio were pleased and excited to announce our first drum clinic.
We secured the phenomenal services of renowned drummer and expert drum clinician, Uriah Heep’s very own Russell Gilbrook.
Held in Medway, this event was in an intimate setting to get the best and closest look at the action!
On Friday September 15th, Russell paid a visit to The George Hotel, New Road Chatham during a brief beak in the recording of Heep’s latest album and his busy tour schedule. Russell demonstrating his skills, lightning grooves and everything else that enables him to play on the biggest stages.
He’ll share hints and tips that have enabled him to work with a wide variety of acts from Chris Barber and Lonnie Donnegan to John Farnham and Van Morrison and of course the monsters that are Uriah Heep! Drummers and non drummers alike will benefit from Russell’s experience and wisdom.
We were delighted when Russell said he would be at our event. His clinics really tick all the boxes. Skilful, powerful, a great teacher and, above all for our event, entertaining! Variety is the spice of life and Russell’s ability to stretch into such a massive genre width is testimony to his hard work and dedication.
There was a section for the absolute beginner too so all ages and abilities were very welcome.
We encouraged parents to bring interested juniors along too.
Tickets were £9.99 available from EVENTBRIGHT with a raffle and proceeds donated to Music For All. A charity that we support every year with Learn to Play Day
This event was in association with Sakae Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Vic Firth Drum Sticks and Mapex Drums.
